1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using FranzAI Bridge ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.
2. License
FranzAI Bridge is open-source software released under the MIT License:
- You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software.
- The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
- The full license text is available in our GitHub repository.
3. Description of Service
FranzAI Bridge is a Chrome extension that provides:
- CORS Bypass: Allows web pages to make cross-origin requests through the extension.
- API Key Injection: Securely stores and injects API keys into requests.
- Google OAuth Integration: Enables authentication with Google services (Search Console, Analytics, etc.).
- Request Inspection: Logs and displays API requests for debugging.
4. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- API Keys: Keeping your API keys secure. Never share them publicly.
- Compliance: Using the Extension in compliance with all applicable laws and the terms of service of any APIs you access.
- Google OAuth: When using Google authentication features, you agree to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Costs: Any charges incurred from API usage. The Extension does not monitor or limit your API spending.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use FranzAI Bridge to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Bypass security measures or access systems without authorization
- Scrape websites in violation of their terms of service
- Conduct any activity that could harm the Extension, its users, or third-party services
- Redistribute API keys or authentication tokens
6. Third-Party Services
FranzAI Bridge integrates with third-party services including:
- OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral: AI provider APIs
- Google OAuth: For authentication with Google services
- Any custom API: Endpoints you configure
Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for third-party service availability, pricing, or policies.
7. Google OAuth Specific Terms
When using the Google authentication feature (franzai.google.*):
- You authorize the Extension to request OAuth tokens on your behalf
- Tokens are stored locally and used only to authenticate your API requests
- You can revoke access at any time via Google Account Permissions
- We access only the scopes you explicitly authorize (e.g., Search Console, Analytics)
8. No Warranty
THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Security or accuracy of data
9. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE EXTENSION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Lost data or API keys
- Charges from API providers
- Unauthorized access to your accounts
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it. Upon uninstallation, all locally stored data (API keys, settings, OAuth tokens) will be deleted.
